in the depletion of oxygen and the accumulation
of reduced compounds such as ammonia and
hydrogen sulfide at the sediment–water
interface. These conditions, by reducing water
quality, are detrimental to health of
aquaculture animals. So, the dissolving capacity
of oxygen gets slow unless the water is
deliberately treat to raise the dissolved oxygen
levels in aquaculture ponds.
