PearlSpar-Aqua can promote biological productivity, which serve as a natural feed for shrimp and fish by stabilizing the water pH. Water pH is one of the most critical chemical parameters for Shrimp and Prawn farming. The optimum water pH range in the Shrimp and Prawn Pond is 7.5 to 8.5. It is essential to stabilize the pH within this range. The pH value in the water is normally lowest in the morning and highest in the afternoon. For best water quality, the maximum diurnal pH fluctuation should not exceed 0.5. The main factor that affects the pH variation in the water is the alkalinity. Pond water should contain 150 ppm to 200 ppm total alkalinity for good growth of shrimp and Prawn. Use of PearlSpar-Aqua will stabilize the total alkalinity in aquaculture ponds thereby good growth rate of shrimp and prawn could be achieved.
