With continuing
decrease in antibiotic usage worldwide, today’s food animal
producers are more reliant than ever on their ability to prevent
the onset of infectious disease rather than to treat them.
A collective effort of Good Management, Biosecurity and
Vaccination aids in effective disease prevention programme.
Synthetic phenols are known for their superior bactericidal
efficacy and low toxicity and are one of the best disinfectants
which led us to the innovation of Terminator-III, a
potent combination of high foaming synthetic detergent
concentrate system and triple action synthetic phenols to
provide heavy duty cleaning, wetting and penetration of soils
and organic matter and easy rinsing of surfaces. Clinging foam
is obtained at 4 ml of Terminator-III in one liter of
water to provide prolonged contact time.
Terminator-III is recommended for use on pre-cleaned,
hard, non-porous surfaces like walls, floors, glass,
ceramic/glazed tiles, stainless steel, aluminium, chrome,
galvanized metal, treated wood, polyethylene, polypropylene, PVC
(polyvinyl chloride), polystyrene, fiberglass etc. Make sure
that all surfaces are wetted thoroughly. Allow the surface to
remain wet for 10 minutes. Then air dry. One operation with
Terminator-III will clean, sanitize and deodorize it all
Salient
features of Terminator-III:
Mixture
of potentiated phenols
Broad
spectrum – Bactericidal, Virucidal, Fungicidal and
Tuberculocidal
Residual
efficacy of five to seven days which checks the microbial load
in the surrounding environment
Non-irritating,
non-corrosive, non-toxic and non-mutagenic at user dilutions
100%
Biodegradable, hence environmentally safe
A
product formulated to perform under tough, farm conditions
Works effectively in the presence of organic matter
Works in hard water up to 1000 ppm hardness
Formulation
Ortho-Phenylphenol, Ortho-Benzyl-para-chlorophenol,
Para-tertiary-Amylphenol.
Active buffers, stabilizers and appropriate surfactants form the
inert ingredients which further potentiate the activity of the
triple phenols.
Mode of
Action
Phenols are “general protoplasmic poisons” and also possess
“membrane-active properties” which contribute to their overall
activity of disrupting the cell membrane and denaturing proteins
and enzymes of the cell, thus killing the cell.
Spectrum
of activity:
Wide anti-microbial spectrum
Gram-positive
and gram-negative bacteria
Enveloped
and non-enveloped viruses
Variety
of fungal organisms like Aspergillus, Histoplasma spp etc.
Mycobacterium
avium
Dosage
Use dilutions @ 4 ml of Terminator-III per liter of water
for all the following applications:
Empty
sheds (terminal disinfection):
To be applied as low or high pressure spray. Effectively fights
microbial contamination in the environment. Do not house poultry
or employ equipment until the treatment has absorbed, set or
dried.
Sheds with
Poultry:
Apply as a low or high pressure spray towards the ceiling, once
or twice a week.
For
Plastic or metal equipment:
The equipment
involved in routine farm operations form a very important mode
for the transmission of infection from bird to bird. Immerse the
equipment in the treated water for 10 minutes and scrub
thoroughly, then rinse.
Feed
Rooms/Stores:
Apply as spray once
or twice a week to check the aerial contamination.
Vehicles:
Vehicles
moving into and between farms possess an important threat as
they carry dirt, debris and harmful organisms on their wheels.
Apply as a spray on the wheels.
Foot bath
and shoe bath:
A very effective
disinfectant for use in foot bath, as Phenolics are well known
for their activity even in the presence of organic matter.
Presentation:
500 ml, 1.0 liter
and 5.0 liters
Caution:
Do
not house poultry or other equipment until the treatment has
been set,
absorbed or dried.
While
spraying in presence of birds do not spray directly on to the
birds.
Do
not contaminate feed or water. Keep away from children. |
