Aqua / Biosecurity /
Intensification of shrimp, prawn and fish
culture and improper management strategies
caused the aquaculture organisms to face stress,
injury and consequent disease, which devastated
the farming activities. Infectious diseases
constitute the main barrier to the development
and continuation of aquaculture in terms of
quality, quantity, regularity and continuity.
For eg. Vibriosis and white spot syndrome has
been implicated as a major mortality factor in
shrimp culture. The total sterility of rearing
water during the culture period by pre-treatment
followed by post-treatment technologies are
urgently required for controlling and preventing
such outbreaks especially due to opportunistic
and secondary pathogenic invaders. Keeping in
view of this urgent need Neospark has
developed a versatile disinfectant ViraNil.
ViraNil a versatile Biosecurity product,
powerful, proven to be effective against all
types of pathogenic virus, bacteria, fungus and
protozoa and is a biodegradable, ecofriendly
ViraNil is the multi-component oxidising
system in which a wide range of compatible
biocides attack simultaneously to the major
physical and chemical components of pathogens
and restrict their propagation.
ViraNil is for complete control - aerial,
surface and water system disinfectant.
ViraNil is friendly to man, animals and
ViraNil is unique product and most
proven, fast acting, non-corrosive disinfectant.
ViraNil high levels of surfactancy with
acidic and oxidising power provide superior
destruction of biofilms.
ViraNil is suitable for broad application
use in all types of hatcheries and farms of
fish, prawn and shrimp and also in food
ViraNil is Versatile, can be applied to
surfaces and equipment to clean and disinfect in
a one step operation.
ViraNil is powder for easy storage and
transportation and accurate dilution – readily
soluble in tepid water.
ViraNil is used as a Virus Pre-soak to
clean farms in a specific virus control
ViraNil is "Non toxic" according to EU
standards for soil toxicity; lower aquatic
toxicity and will not present a threat to water
treatment facilities when used as directed.
ViraNil consists mainly of inorganic
salts which decompose into harmless by-products.
The surfactant is a salt of a straight chain
giving more than 90% biodegradability.
ViraNil is applied as Terminal Cleanout
and Continuous Water Sanitation and is suitable
for use in all stages of aquaculture practices.
ViraNil is used to clean and disinfect
with an application rate of 300 ml per sq.mts of
1% solution (to estimate total area including
walls and ceilings multiply floor area by 2.5).
ViraNil 500 gm. to 2 kg./ha.
