Prioritizing Health and Safety

At Neospark, the well-being and safety of our employees, customers, and communities have always been at the forefront of our values. As the world faced the challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, we took decisive actions and implemented a comprehensive set of measures to ensure the continuity of our operations while safeguarding the health of everyone associated with our organization.

Our approach to managing the pandemic was guided by the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO), as well as national and state authorities. As the situation evolved, so did our response, enabling us to stay adaptive and proactive in addressing the prevailing circumstances.

In response to the announcement of lockdown, we immediately shut down all our Neospark production sites, the Central Warehouse, Regional Warehouse, and Head Office in Hyderabad. This decision was not only aimed at complying with government regulations but, more importantly, to protect our employees and limit the spread of COVID-19.

Throughout this challenging period, Neospark‘s Crisis Management Mitigation measures came into effect, ensuring that we remained focused on key areas:

Communication and Evaluation: We defined clear communication plans for our employees, customers, and vendors, ensuring that everyone was informed and updated regularly, thanks to the digital revolution in communication systems. Our management team met periodically to evaluate the current situation and make well-informed decisions based on real-time data.

Business Continuity and Recovery: Neospark set up robust business continuity and recovery plans, developing strategies to navigate various scenarios. Our goal was to ensure that even during the most trying times, we could continue to serve the people who rely on us for products, services, and livelihoods

People Management and Well-being: The health status and well-being of our employees were closely monitored and tracked. Daily check-ups and thermal scanning were implemented at entry points across all locations. We encouraged employees to practice good personal hygiene and educated them on the importance of social distancing.

Contingency Planning: Recognizing that manpower shortages could occur due to absenteeism spikes, we developed comprehensive plans to ensure operational efficiency. This included rostering employees based on risk assessment, proximity, and production line requirements. Additionally, we prioritized critical products and focused on the domestic market to minimize disruptions.

Contractor and Third-Party Measures: We extended our safety measures to contractors and third-party vendors, ensuring that they adhered to strict health protocols when accessing our facilities.

Workplace Sanitization: To maintain a contamination-free environment, we established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for COVID-19 sanitization. Routine cleaning and disinfection of frequently touched surfaces became a norm, and employees were provided with disposable wipes and hand sanitizers for added safety.

Warehouse and Distribution Safety: Our warehouses and hubs were frequently sanitized with appropriate disinfectants, and all employees were screened for symptoms and equipped with face masks and gloves to ensure product handling adhered to the highest safety standards.

Promoting Social Distancing: We implemented measures to increase social distancing among employees, such as extended lunch hours, staggered lunch breaks, and demarcated seating areas in the canteen.
