It is metabolic disorder of old layers which kept in cages. This is caused due to high carbohydrate and low fat, high temperature, lack of exercise, deficiency of choline, toxins, hormonal imbalance, strain of bird and low calcium.

Symptom includes overweight with large combs and wattle. Postmortem findings include liver is enlarged, fatty, is of light greyish brown to yellow colour, very friable and may subscapular hemorrhage.

Treated with supplementation of vitamin-E, Choline Chloride, vitamin - B12 and inositol.
