Roundworm/Nematodes

Roundworms are more important because it causes more damage than tapeworms and trematodes. Birds get infection by directly or indirectly. Through directly means birds eat egg or larva directly and indirectly involves intermediate host. There are three intestinal roundworms Ascaridia, Capillaria and Heterakis. Symptom includes loss of body weight, retarded growth, enteritis, blood loss and death.

Regular deworming is necessary to control or prevent the infection. Supplementation vitamins are requiring to get rid of stress.
