Cestodes are tapeworms that are seen in many species they may not be host specific. Most have intermediate invertebrate hosts such as beetles or earthworms. In the postmortem, it could be seen that Tapeworms occupy space in intestine and create small lesions at point of attachment. They are flattened, ribbon shaped and segmented. Small intestine is site for attachment. Summer season is most favorable season for these worms.

Harmful effect includes emaciation, weight loss, ruffled feathers, slow movements, breathing difficulties, decrease in egg production, paralysis and death.

Regular deworming is necessary to control or prevent the infection. Supplementation vitamins are requiring to get rid of stress.
