OxyZen

Advanced Dissolved Oxygen Technology for Aquaculture

OxyZen is a state-of-the-art product developed to provide a stable, high concentration of dissolved oxygen (D.O.) to aquaculture pond systems. OxyZen formulation ensures a rapid and sustained release of oxygen into water with high dissolution efficiency, addressing low-oxygen issues.

Oxygen and its importance in Aquaculture

In aquaculture, oxygen is a vital element that directly influences the health, growth, and survival of shrimp, prawns and fish. The oxygen requirement for aquatic animals is largely dependent on their body surface area, with approximately 4 ppm (parts per million) being the minimum level required in water for maintaining the essential life processes. A failure to maintain these oxygen levels can lead to adverse effects on the health of the aquatic species and the overall productivity of the system.

The Role of Hemocyanin in Oxygen Transport
In species such as Vannamei, Black Tiger shrimp and freshwater prawns, oxygen is transported throughout the body via hemocyanin, a natural oxygen-carrying molecule present in their blood cells. However, when the dissolved oxygen levels in the pond water fall below the critical threshold, it can cause haemolysis (destruction of blood cells). This reduces the availability of oxygen within the organism, leading to weakened immune function, reduced disease resistance and hypoxia. Under prolonged low oxygen conditions, shrimp, prawns and fish become more susceptible to viral and bacterial infections, which can eventually lead to mortality.

OxyZen: A Breakthrough in Dissolved Oxygen Technology

The unique formulation of OxyZen allows it to settle at the pond bottom, releasing oxygen slowly and continuously. The technology of OxyZen not only enhances the oxygen levels for the growing shrimp, prawn and fish but also creates a healthier pond environment by promoting beneficial microbial activity, improving water quality, and preventing harmful microbial growth.

Oxidative Power and Pond Maintenance
The oxidative action of OxyZen plays a crucial role in improving pond cleanliness. By breaking down organic matter, including waste and organic flocks, OxyZen helps in reducing sludge accumulation at the pond bottom. This reduces the risk of anaerobic conditions, ensuring a healthier environment for the aquaculture stock.

Key Benefits of OxyZen Tablets:

  • Enhanced Organic Matter Breakdown: OxyZen breaks down organic flocks, reducing sludge build-up at the pond bottom.
  • Improved Bottom and Water Conditions: OxyZen maintains optimal pond bottom conditions and improves water quality by stabilizing pH levels and enhancing water coloration.
  • Pathogen Control and Bioremediation: OxyZen inhibits the multiplication of pathogenic microbes while promoting the growth of friendly microbes that aid in bioremediation.
  • Odor Control: OxyZen eliminates foul odors from pond water and prevents off-flavour in shrimp, prawns and fish.
  • Higher Oxygen Availability: Ensures stable dissolved oxygen levels to support the life processes of shrimp, prawns and fish, preventing hypoxia and enhancing overall health and growth.

OxyZen is designed as an aquaculture tablet, offering a sustained release of dissolved oxygen to promote a balanced and healthy pond ecosystem. By integrating OxyZen Tablets into your pond management practices, you can ensure a well-oxygenated, clean, and disease-free environment, ultimately improving the survival, growth and productivity in aquaculture operation.

Ingredients
OxyZen Tablet provides Oxygen releasing compounds of monohydrate sodium salts, bio-active minerals and probiotics

Dosage and Usage Recommendations:
For shrimp, prawn, and fish ponds, apply 0.8 kg to 1.0 kg OxyZen Tablets per acre.
The product is most effective when used during late evenings to compensate for the natural depletion of dissolved oxygen that occurs during the early morning hours.

It is recommended to use OxyZen once a week, or more frequently if the pond bottom or water quality deteriorates, or as advised by an aquaculture consultant.
