SnailRid

Control Snails in Shrimp Ponds

SnailRid is a specially formulated herbal molluscicide that effectively eliminates snails while preserving the ecological balance of shrimp ponds. Made from a blend of natural extracts, SnailRid provides a safe, biodegradable solution that enhances the pond environment, promoting healthier shrimp growth and survival.

Need for Snail Control in Shrimp Ponds
Snails, such as Cerithidea species, are a significant problem in shrimp ponds as they compete for natural food and disrupt the pond ecosystem, often leading to lower shrimp yields. Large snail populations loosen pond sediments, especially in wet or windy conditions, which muddles the pond and reduces dissolved oxygen, harming shrimp health and productivity.

Key Benefits of SnailRid
SnailRid effectively removes snails from the pond environment, improves oxygen levels and alkalinity and helps maintain pond water condition for optimal shrimp growth. Being 100% natural and biodegradable, SnailRid is safe for shrimp and selectively targets snails, preserving essential pond organisms.

Primary Ingredients and their Molluscicidal properties
Allium sativum:
Allicin in Allium sativum disrupts cellular functions in snails, leading to dehydration and death. Garlic is eco-friendly, enhances water quality, and also reduces pathogenic bacteria.

Trachyspermum ammi:
Thymol in Trachyspermum ammi acts as a neurotoxin, affecting snail mobility and feeding, ultimately leading to paralysis and death. It provides long-term control by reducing snail reproduction.

Diatomaceous Earth:
Diatomite is a physical molluscicide causes abrasion and desiccation by damaging snail's protective layers, leading to dehydration. It also improves water clarity and is safe for the pond ecosystem.

Azadirachta indica:
Azadirachtin disrupts snail growth, feeding and reproduction, with neurotoxic effects leading to paralysis. Neem's antimicrobial properties also enhance pond health.

Terminalia chebula:
The tannins and phenolics in Terminalia chebula disrupt snail's digestion and cause metabolic failure. It is non-toxic to shrimp and supports long-term snail control.

Allium schoenoprasum:
Organosulfur compounds in Allium schoenoprasum cause oxidative stress and disrupt snail movement and feeding. Allium schoenoprasum is biodegradable and enhances the pond environment.

Matricaria chamomilla L.:
Alpha-bisabolol and flavonoids in Matricaria chamomilla act as neurotoxins and antifeedants, reducing snail activity and reproduction. It is safe for shrimp and improves overall pond health.

SnailRid's carefully selected natural ingredients work synergistically to create a comprehensive, environmentally friendly approach in managing snail population in shrimp aquaculture.

Ingredients
SnailRid provides Allium sativum, Trachyspermum ammi, Diatomaceous earth, Azadirachta indica, Terminalia chebula, Allium schoenoprasum, Matricaria chamomilla L.

Usage and Dosage Instructions:
Before Stocking:
Apply 1.0 kg of SnailRid per acre of pond at one-foot water depth. For optimal results, apply SnailRid after 7 PM.

During Culture:
Apply 1.0 to 2.0 kg per acre after 30 Days of Culture (DOC), or as advised by an Aquaculture consultant.

Application Tips:
Mix SnailRid with water and broadcast it evenly across the pond. For best results, avoid draining or adding water for 2 to 3 days after application.

Important Note:
SnailRid is highly effective in eliminating all types of snails but should not be used in fish culture or polyculture systems, as it can eliminate the fish.
