SynerZyme-XL is an advanced formulation of zootechnical feed additive providing endo-1,4-b-xylanase to improve digestion and utilization of nutrients in feed.
Cereal grains constitute 55-65% of poultry feed. Arabinoxylans are the major components of cell walls of cereal grains. The soluble and insoluble xylans trap nutrients reducing the bioavailability to birds. SynerZyme-XL hydrolyzes both soluble and insoluble xylans in many types of feed grains, increasing the release of nutrients and favouring production performance.

Release of entrapped nutrients
SynerZyme-XL breaks up grain cell walls which constitute insoluble fibre component of the feed ingredients (maize, wheat, bajra, sorghum). The insoluble components entrap nutrients in feed by cage-effect making them unavailable to birds. Disruption of grain cell wall by SynerZyme-XL ensures release of otherwise unavailable nutrients.
Reduces intestinal viscosity
The soluble fibre component of feed ingredients (wheat, barley, soya bean) adsorb water and increase viscosity of intestinal contents. This reduces exposure of digestive enzymes with the feed ingredients. Also, the undigested viscous content is a favourable medium for the multiplication of gut pathogens. SynerZyme-XL hydrolyses soluble fraction of arabinoxylans and reduce viscosity of intestinal contents.
Improves fat digestion
Gut pathogens like Clostridium perfringens produce substances (bile acid hydrolase) which weaken the emulsifying action of bile acids thereby reducing fat digestion. SynerZyme-XL alters substrate availability for Clostridium in the small intestine and improves fat emulsification for better absorption.
Favours gut pathogen reduction
Undigested dietary fibre provides conducive environment for the proliferation of gut pathogens. SynerZyme-XL improves digestion of dietary fibre favouring optimal gut environment and elimination of gut pathogens.
Pre-biotic effect Digestion of Arabinoxylans by SynerZyme-XL releases Xylo-oligosaccharides which serves as a prebiotic to the beneficial microbes in the gut. Generation of Xylo-oligosaccharides also improves gut morphology.
