UroMet Bolus

Uromet Bolus is an ideal combination of a broad spectrum antibacterial Nitrofurazone and proteolytic agent Urea that acts effectively in the presence of necrotic debris and uterine fluids. Nitrofurazone in Uromet Bolus is useful in the treatment of female genital tract infections and for impaired fertility due to strains of salmonella, staphylococcus, streptococcus, pseudomonas, Escherichia coli and campylobacter (vibrio) fetus. Uromet Bolus enables a quick expulsion of retained placenta and reduces risk of genital tract infections.

Composition:
Each uncoated bolus contains
Nitrofurazone I.P.: 60 mg
Urea I.P. : 6.0 gm

Indications:
For the prevention or control of uterine infections associated with retained placenta, metritis, cervicitis and vaginitis.

Dosage and Administration:
Using aseptic precautions, insert by hand, two to four boluses into each of the affected and normal uterine horns. Based on severity, repeat treatment after 24 hours.
